You will find so many good videos for learning the elements that make up this scarf. You can also google things like "K1" and "yo"... K = knit, yo = yarn over and K2tog = knit 2 together. But a video will be able to give you so much more information than what I can give you here. Thanks for writing and hope this helps!! Is there any chance you could elaborate on the shorthand version of the pattern? (Row 1: Sl 1 (slip stitch as if to purl), *K1, (yo, k2tog) twice; repeat from * end k1) I'm not sure what k1 and yo and the rest actually mean. :/Annanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-958761355182193346.post-47713572434057270962014-12-09T09:06:32.950-08:002014-12-09T09:06:32.950-08:00Hi Shelista, you work the same row every row, so y...Hi Shelista, you work the same row every row, so yes continue knitting :) Hope this helps! One question I can't figure out from reading the pattern - In the picture where there is a fold in the front - is that created from doubling the scarf over? Or knitted in? You could try it, the thing is you would get a different look as far as.... if you look at the photo of the peice where you see it from the back, notice how the stitch pattern has a horizontal line that is more prominent. If you work it in the round those lines would be vertical. You could always do a flat swatch and turn it on it's side to see how it looks. Also keep in mind if you work it in the round you won't be knitting every row but alternating a row of knit with a row of purl (the yo's would stay the same). Hope this helps!
